Picpak Flashback: When Picpak Met Scraps 6
Welcome to this week’s Way Back Wednesday!
Today’s comic was originally posted January 31, 2009.
Welcome to the sixth and final installment of the Picpak Flashback. Hope that filled everyone’s need for Scraps! Scraps is the only animal character in the comic to wear any type of clothing. He’s never seen without his lucky collar. If you go through the archive and see I forgot to draw the collar, let me know immediately so I can change it.

When you live in a dumpster too long, you miss out on the bare necessities.

This is one of my favourite Scraps strips. The more time goes on, the more ridiculous it gets.

I don’t really write jokes like this anymore. It’s become kind of dated, to be honest. Of course, I was only 10 when I originally wrote these long before the site existed, so what can you expect?

Due to popular demand, Scraps is back! Each Wednesday, learn how Picpak reunited with his dumpster-diving brother.
I have a love-hate relationship with my archive at Comic Genesis. On the one hand, I love it because it shows my growth over the years. But on the other hand, some of the comics look so bad, it doesn’t give people a proper representation of my current art. It would be unfair to remove all those years of work; therefore, the Comic Genesis archive has moved to my new Patreon page!
What is Patreon, you ask? Patreon is a way for you to support me for as little as $1 a month, with some great rewards for each donation level. For just $1 a month, you can access and download the entire archive previously available at picpak.comicgenesis.com. That’s over 800 strips! You’ll be able to bookmark the link and access it at any time, regardless of whether you are logged in to Patreon or not. If you’d rather chip in a dollar, get the archive and cancel your subscription, you can also download the entire archive as well. It’s similar to the method GoComics uses for their archives (and the money is guaranteed to support me!), plus it’s far cheaper than the $30 a year Webcomics.com asks to read their archives.
Just to clarify: This only applies to the archives that were previously available on picpak.comicgenesis.com. All of the comics on this site will be, and always will be freely available!
I believe this is a great way to have the best of both worlds: the comics are still available without embarrassing me, and you can support me in the process. There’s more great prizes available as well, such as reading never before seen art, reading comics one day ahead, and receiving a drawing of your choice. Head on over to my Patreon page for all the juicy details.
PS: Today is my birthday! Feel free to leave me some birthday greetings in the comments below!
Grouch
Here in Saskatchewan we have an annual telethon called Telemiracle. For 36 of the 37 years it’s been on, Bob McGrath, former star of Sesame Street, has been hosting it. This comic’s for him.
Ray
I suppose you’re wondering why Ray — er — Scraps has a cell phone. Let’s just say he found it in the dumpster. It happens, okay?!?
